Tall Personal Shopping: Tall Homecoming Dresses

I received a frantic email from a mother trying to help her daughter find a tall homecoming dress. We all know that it’s super important to fit in during the high school years and finding special occasion dresses in tall sizes are next to impossible in the regular malls. Thankfully, I’m here to help. This 6’1″ tall teen is 16 years old and would prefer a shorter type homecoming dress. She has an athletic build and is fairly busty.
My recommendations are wearing something with some type of straps to keep the chest area under wrap. Staples dresses may make you feel a little insecure about keeping everything in place (if you know what I mean). I also think you may enjoy a shape with a little flare on the lower half to balance out the bigger upper body.
I have a round-up of many different types of tall homecoming dresses as there may be others out there looking for the same thing. You may want to purchase several styles to see which one works the best and return the ones that you don’t like. Be sure and check the return policies and allow enough time for shipping.

Last night I asked if anyone needed any personal shopping help. I was able to answer several people directly via Facebook, but some required more detailed help. So here is the answers to your style questions:
Tall Tankini
Needed- a tall tankini with a skirt, size 16 – preferably around $50.
I’m having a hard time keeping within your budget, so here’s what I did find.

Gap – Tall Khaki pants have a 37″ inseam, but if these would work, I know a lot of us love them. Just to size 16 though.

Long Red Sweater
“I’m post-pregnancy and looking for a long, red (jewel tone) sweater (the kind that’s open in the front) to wear with dark jeans and brown, knee-high equestrian boots for Christmas pictures. I want it to camo the mummy tummy. I’m size 16-18 (xl), six feet tall, 36″ inseam. Will spend up to $100.”
As much as I’d love to find you an open cardigan, I’m not finding it in redish colors, so here’s the next best options:
