I love to shop, but usually there’s nothing to be had but sheets, wigs, and cookpots in the mall stores; the small retailers for tall just seem to fold the tent and disappear. I remember when back in NYC that Lane Bryant had AN ENTIRE FLOOR devoted to tall size women. Now, 50 years later, retailers act like there’s no one worth selling to, especially in the South, where there’s nothing, but nothing, if you’re over size 14 (16/18). Tall women scrooch over and hunt through the racks of 1x-2x-3x; I like to give the “petite department” the evil eye, Salespeople run and hide. You’re on the money when you say, “you create your own ‘tall mall’.’ So KUDOS again for doing the research.
