EGift Cards – There’s no Shame in a Gift Card!

Breast Cancer Awareness Products

October is breast cancer awareness month. We all know someone that has been affected by breast cancer. My aunt Faye died of breast cancer at the age of 50 and as a young girl watching her struggle, left a big impression on my life! She fought a courageous fight with a positive attitude.

We can make a difference this month by purchasing products that donate a portion of their proceeds back to breast cancer research.

Kohls will donate 100% of the net profit on their Tek Gear products to the American Cancer Society.

New Balance with donate 5% of it’s profits from the Lace Up for the Cure Collection with a minimum of $500K donation.

JCP offers lots of breast cancer awareness products that donate money for research.

Zappos has a large selection of products that support the fight.

Macy’s Pink Shop – gives back.

Nordstrom also has a breast cancer awareness section.

Loft sells these Live in Pink Earrings are $39.50 and 60% goes to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®.

Don’t forget to save your Yoplait lids. Since 1997, Yoplait has donated over $34 million to Race for the Cure and other programs.

Funny Halloween Costumes for Tall People

It’s time to start thinking about what you are going to wear for Halloween. Do you dress up? I do some years, but this year my four-year old daughter informed me rather forcefully that we are both going to be Princesses, so I am still working on that one.

I started thinking about how Halloween is the perfect time for us to have a little fun with our height. So today I present you some Funny Halloween Costumes for Tall People:

After I published this article, one of our Facebook friends uploaded this photo of the Jolly Green Giant Costume that she made when in high school. How creative! Thanks to Louise and Kim for the heads up.

Giraffe Costume – self-explanatory

This 7′ man, dressed up as a normal guy on stilts. – Brilliant!

Batman Big & Tall Costume – any super hero would work.

Big Foot Costume – yes, I’m proud of my size 12 feet!

Dress as our favorite tall president – Abraham Lincoln.
