Tall Sateen Pants Review + Outfit Inspiration

I typically think of colored bottoms as a summer trend.  But I just bought a pair of perfect-for-fall colored tall sateen pants and I had to share.  Even though the tall items can be hit or miss, this partner store is still my favorite.  You can’t beat the prices and they have the biggest selection of budget friendly tall clothing.

Pros

1. I was happy to find that these jeans were plenty long enough.  Even if I was an inch or two taller they’d work (I’m 6’0″ with a 35 inch inseam).

2. They run true to size. This could actually be a con because this style of pant typically runs small so I ordered up a size which wasn’t necessary. If you’re on the fence, go with the smaller size.

3. They come in great fall colors, although they are selling out quickly!

4. They are soft and comfortable and have a higher than average rise (I’m SO over panty peek).

5. They wash well.

Cons

1. I wish they were a little more structured.  The “sateen” in the title is fitting.  They’re not shiny but definitely more of a pant than a jean.

2. They stretch a bit over the course of a day.  Again, if you’re between sizes, size down.

That’s it.  The pros definitely outweigh the cons for me.  Now take a look at the outfit I created with them:tall rose pants1.   2.   3.   4.   5.   6.*

*This look includes a Tall sweater, Tall pants, and large size shoes.

Fall Trends: Womens Booties Under $100

Since I’ve been seeing so many fall lines launch lately, I figured it’s time to turn my attention to some styles for us tall ladies to wear in the cooler weather so that we’re prepared when the temperature eventually drops. Booties are the perfect transitional shoe for fall into early winter because they will keep your feet warm and toasty but still allow your legs to be unhindered by full-length boots.  You can start by wearing them with bare legs in the early fall and then pair them with tall tights or leggings once the weather turns chilly.  If you’re wondering whether or not you’ll be able to pair them with many things in your closet, the answer is simple: you can wear them with almost anything including skirts, dresses, jeans, shorts, jumpsuits.  I think you get the idea!
